Actualiza tus equipos multisector. Nueva release: Earwig M2 17.2.5455

Albentia Systems lanza la segunda release de mantenimiento para el correcto funcionamiento de sus equipos multisector. Esta nueva versión trae consigo mejoras de funcionalidades ya existentes y la implementación de nuevas características.

Earwig M2 17.2.5.5455  incluye todas las mejoras de Dragonfly M2 16.2.5115 y Dragonfly M3 16.2.5429. Sin embargo, se han añadido algunas nuevas funcionalidades para mejorar el rendimiento y eficiencia de los equipos Albentia y hacer más fácil el día a día de los operadores inalámbricos (WISP). Algunas de las más importantes son:

•  Nuevo Spectrum Analyzer (SA). Después de completar una medida, el SA compara y ordena los canales y les asigna una puntuación. De este modo, el SA puede sugerir los mejores canales disponibles. Adicionalmente, el SA de la BS permite ahora ejecutar un SA remoto en los CPEs.
• Modo de reacción de la división automática de trama. Se añaden tres modos de reacción para la división dinámica de trama. Este modo indica a la BS cómo reaccionar ante los cambios en el tráfico de bajada y de subida cuando se calcula la división automática de trama.
• RF Manager. Este módulo ayudará al operador a encontrar las mejores frecuencias para la BS. Se basa en la entidad Smart Channel Selector . El operador puede crear, borrar, modificar o ejecutar Smart Channel Selectors para encontrar los mejores canales de frecuencia en la ubicación actual.
• Limitador de tráfico broadcast y multicast. El operador puede limitar la tasa de tráfico broadcast, multicast o ambos que va a ser transmitido por el usuario.
• Modo de transmisión continua. Si esta funcionalidad se activa, los símbolos no usados en bajada se rellenan con padding.
• Optimización de la subtrama de bajada. Las modulaciones más altas se envían antes que las modulaciones bajas. De este modo, las modulaciones más altas (con mayor probabilidad de error) se envían más cerca del preámbulo de inicio de trama.
• Modos de balanceo avanzados. El operador ahora tiene más control sobre qué modulaciones va a usar el algoritmo de balanceo para distribuir a los usuarios entre las portadoras.

Además de estas mejoras, se han corregido los bugs detallados en la Info Release de Dragonfly M2 16.2.5115 y DragonflyM3 16.2.5429.

Ya están disponibles los enlaces de descarga para actualizar el firmware de equipamiento Albentia: archivo binario, archivo meta y changelog.

Update your multicarrier devices. New release: Earwig M2 17.2.5455

Albentia Systems launches the second maintenance release for the correct operation of its multicarrier equipment. This new version brings improvements to existing features and the implementation of new features.

This release includes all the changes detailed in Dragonfly M2 16.2.5115 and Dragonfly M3 16.2.5429 changelogs. However, some new features have been added to improve the performance and efficiency of Albentia equipment and make the day-to-day operations of wireless operators (WISP) easier. Some of the most important are:

• New Spectrum Analyzer (SA): after completing a measure, now the SA compares and sorts all the channels and then scores them. This way the SA can suggest the best available channels. The SA allows the user to run SA on remote CPEs.

• Dynamic frame division react mode: added three frame division react modes. This mode tells the BS how to react to changes in downlink and uplink traffic when computing the automatic frame division.

• RF Manager Subsystem: this module will help the operator find the best frequencies for the BS. It is based on the Smart Channel Selector entity. The operator can create, delete, modify or run Smart Channel Selectors in order to find the best available frequency channels in current location.

• Broadcast and multicast traffic limiter: the operator can limit the rate of broadcast, multicast or both traffic which will be transmitted by the user.

• Continuous transmission mode: if this functionality is enabled, the unused downlink symbols will be filled in with padding.

• Downlink subframe optimisation: higher modulations bursts are sent before than lower modulations bursts. In this way, higher modulations (with more probability of error) are sent near to the start frame preamble.

• Advanced balance modes: the operator now has more control on which modulations are going to be used by the balance algorithm to distribute the users along each carrier.

In addition to these improvements, the bugs detailed in the Dragonfly M2 Release Info 16.2.5115 and DragonflyM3 16.2.5429 have been fixed.
